Growth & Development

We wholeheartedly believe in the continuous growth and development of our people at The Sunray Companies. We invest time and resources in all our Sunray team members whether they are on a long-term career path or are in a part-time hourly role.

It’s no coincidence that more than half of our Sunray management and leadership team grew from hourly, training, or entry-level roles into leadership positions throughout our company. Every role in our company has an outlined training path called Path of Progress or a growth plan. This helps our Sunray team members envision and achieve their individual career goals. We meet with every team member face-to-face at least twice a year to discuss their career goals and progress. Our accountability culture thrives on our teams being actively engaged and taking ownership to own outcomes and achieve results. We invested in a new learning management system to digitize our Sunray-specific training. We also provide continuous in-person teaching, coaching and mentoring in our locations since 70% of people are visual or hands-on learners.

At Sunray, we are proud of the training that continually evolves to meet the needs of our team members:

  • Our human resources team hosts Lunch and Learn sessions monthly on topics from recruiting to our 401K program.
  • Our licensed massage therapists and licensed estheticians participate in annual company-wide virtual training sessions on topics that support their development as licensed service providers.
  • Over 100 team members have completed our Sunray Management Development Program (MDP), Advanced Management Development Program or Multi-Unit Leadership Program.

We also support our team in growth and development opportunities outside of Sunray including Dale Carnegie training, Millsaps College Executive Education, Disney Training Institute, and local leadership advancement such as the Grenada Chamber of Commerce’s Givens Executive Leadership Institute, Leadership Lafourche, and Leadership Excel.
