Sensing her nervousness, Bella Roberts stayed just outside the door and calmly talked her through every step, offering gentle reassurance and encouragement the entire time. Bella’s thoughtful support helped the guest feel comfortable and confident throughout the experience. The guest’s mom was so moved by Bella’s genuine care and attentiveness that she said it was the best customer service she had ever seen—and described Bella as one of the nicest people she’d ever met. Bella’s warm, patient approach truly made a lasting impression and exemplifies the kind of care we strive to deliver every day.

In leaving the clinic for the National Conference in Denver, I have to say I was nervous in the magnitude of tasks that I was placing on a new assistant manager. I empowered Wendy Williams to run the clinic while I was gone, and she really showed up in a big way. Not only did Wendy accomplish all tasks dedicated to her, but she exceeded all goals for the week. She had the entire clinic rallied around her with support and had her back in achieving the goals she gave them. We had less callouts, a higher percentage of enhancements sold, retail was great, and the list continues. It was as if she had done this for years. I could not be prouder of Wendy, her integrity, and her constant support. Having her work alongside me is priceless. We are blessed at Massage Envy Flowood to have her on our team.

During a recent shift, Eden Grimes went out of her way to surprise her manager with her favorite drink — a thoughtful gesture all on its own. But she didn’t stop there. Eden also took the time to handwrite sweet notes on index cards to share with guests, adding a personal touch that made them feel seen and appreciated. She went above and beyond her CSR duties, creating an experience full of positivity and warmth. Eden’s thoughtful spirit made a lasting impression — and reminded everyone just how far a little kindness can go.

Marquilla Lipkin is the kind of team member who truly embodies HEART in everything she does. Though she typically shines as our breakfast hostess, Marquilla recently went above and beyond by stepping in to support housekeeping, making sure laundry was done and empty rooms were stripped of linens and towels, all after working a full morning shift. She never hesitated to lend a hand, keeping things running smoothly and supporting her team without missing a beat. Her sugar-sweet words, warm personality, and can-do attitude bring a smile to everyone she meets. Thank you, Marquilla, for your incredible teamwork and heart—you’re a bright light on our team!

Sometimes we look at things and people around us to see who and what would empower us daily. I would say sometimes we do not look at the ones who work the hardest and really take pride in our company. I just want to say that Catherine Sullivan and Chris Taylor go way beyond to empower us daily in the jobs that we do. They ask us the question of how we would take care of that client or employee and have us think for ourselves the best way to take care of people. They CARE!!! The pace is set: “teach by leading by example.” I have heard several DMs, GMs, and other employees talk about how the two have helped them. I would say from all of us that Catherine and Chris have empowered us to do our jobs the best that we can and have encouraged us to be passionate about people.

The Massage Envy Monroe team recently demonstrated what true compassion and support look like. After General Manager Rosalyn experienced a heartbreaking week filled with family funerals, the team came together to lift her up in a beautiful way. They created a self-care basket, filled with thoughtful items purchased with their own money and gifted from the heart. Alongside the basket, they wrote personal notes filled with encouragement and love. They didn’t just send their support—they delivered it to Rosalyn at her home, offering comfort in a moment she needed it most. Since its inception in 2018, more than 70 of our general managers, assistant general managers, managers-in-training, hotel front desk managers, directors of sales, and district managers have completed our Sunray Management Development Program, Advanced Management Development Program, and Multi-Unit Leadership Program. We refine our leadership programs annually based on training paths and feedback from our teams. We continue to invest in the growth of our current and future Sunray leaders and team members.
